Issues I’m Campaigning For

Keeping Tax Dollars Local

Putnam County is sitting on a multi-year Sales Tax Surplus. I have advocated directly to the County Legislature to disperse that money back to the towns and tax payers who funded it, providing for critical infrastructure and easing the tax burden on projects like what’s happening in Carmel Water District-2.

If Elected, I will flip a seat currently preventing that from being a reality, and keep that fight alive by providing a crucial vote in making it a reality

Fair St. & Gleneida Ave

With Carmel Hamlet and Kent making up the least family-friendly “downtown” in the county, we need to go back to the drawing board on what to do about county owned properties in the district. Ignored by the town of Carmel for too long, I will work collaboratively with the town to find ways to improve our downtown.

If elected I will provide innovative, business-led solutions, using any and all mechanisms provided to my position to work together and restore the seat of County of Government to a place families want to spend a night out or a nice weather weekend.

Pro-Transparency

I am on the record directly, and repeatedly, confronting our County Legislature about thew way they conduct business. Whether it’s unfair treatment of our farmers, or the practice of back room deals and preventing the public from speaking BEFORE they take votes, it all must come to an end.

If Elected I will continue that fight, and restore the rights of the people to make their voices heard before legislators place votes that impact their lives.
